For more than 500 years, the Perak River has played a key role in the formation and life of the State of Perak. The river cuts across the entire state. Social, economic, security and matters of state have revolved around the access and use of the river as a major resource to this day.

Our Work
The Perak River has been changed significantly as a result of 4 river dams in its upper reaches. There is a need for a systematic and periodic maintenance of the river to ensure she continues to provide an important strategic and sustainable resource for the people of Perak. Our work ensures the continued importance of the Perak River.

- Manage sedimentation levels along the river by the excavation and removal of sand and sediment deposits
- Improving and overcoming the problems of low flow (as a result of dams)
- Deepening river channels and draught for improved vessel navigation
- Managing and mitigating the formation of islands on the river
